Check if a job offer is a scam

Review suspicious job and travel messages for warning signs.

Start with the message

Paste the offer or conversation without passport numbers, account details or other private information. The text check highlights patterns that deserve a closer look.

Verify independently

Find the organisation’s own website independently, compare its contact details and look for the role on its careers page. Ask questions through contact details published there rather than relying only on the sender’s links.

Keep evidence and pause payments

Keep the original advert and messages. If an offer creates pressure to pay or avoids clear written details, pause and verify it before proceeding. A warning check is a prompt to investigate, not a certificate of safety.
